“I really like how she reflects back what I’m trying to say. Sometimes I feel like I’m not making sense when I’m rambling about something and she’ll reflect it back in the exact way I am trying to come across. It really helps me feel heard and understood! She’s very great at what she does.”

Getting to know Yajie Xiong

Hi, I am Yajie. Ever feel like life's a bit of a juggling act, pulling you in all sorts of directions? It happens. Work, relationships, and taking care of yourself can be a lot to handle. If you're finding it tough to be kind to yourself, I get it. I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and in our talks, I want to help you sort through things. I use a mix of ideas from different types of therapy. We'll chat about the big questions in life—what gives it meaning, how free we are to make choices, and what responsibilities we have. This helps us give more purpose and depth to what you're going through. We'll also look at how your thoughts can affect your feelings and actions, and figure out ways to make those thoughts work better for you. And we'll use mindfulness to help you accept what's out of your control while sticking to the things that really matter to you. Whether you're dealing with big emotions, tangled relationships, or just feeling unsure, taking this step to talk it out is a brave move. In our chats, I'm here with easy-to-understand ideas and practical ways to help you grow and find your way. Let's take this journey together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our sessions, my goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life's challenges. From the very first session, you can expect a welcoming space where we'll talk about what's on your mind. It's a chance for us to get to know each other, and for you to share your thoughts, feelings, and what you hope to achieve through our time together. As we move forward, we'll dive into different therapeutic approaches, drawing on elements of Existential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we'll explore the big questions, identify unhelpful thought patterns, and find ways to align your actions with your values. As we continue working together, you can expect a collaborative and personalized approach. We'll celebrate your progress, adjust our strategies as needed, and keep the focus on what matters most to you. Our goal is to not just navigate challenges but to help you grow, finding a deeper understanding of yourself and creating a roadmap for a more fulfilling life. It's a journey, and I'm here to support you every step of the way

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Yajie was very patient and really listened to every word I said, guided me to express my thoughts and feelings that were easily overlooked, and gave me professional advice. I'm very grateful to her. I feel a lot better after talking to her.

Our therapist Yajie Xiong has really helped us cut the through the fog of our communication issues! I feel more empowered and capable of advocating for my wants, feelings and needs in the relationship. She also help me understand my partner and I's conflict patterns so we can recognize and choose different actions. I'm so grateful to have her help and guidance.
She is very kind
Yajie is not your typical therapist who runs through the motions. She adapts to her client and the situation to provide the personalized care they need. She challenges in ways that I need to be challenged and she does it with grace. She is super sharp and listens intently. Since working with her, I’ve seen significant improvement in my depression and anxiety in a very short amount of time. She sees my wife as well. We also see her as a couple. Her professional handling this arrangement has been brilliant. She’s able to keep up with us and we trust her very much. Yajie is a rockstar and I would recommend her to anyone!
She was great. Very attentive and helpful.
