I have over fifteen years of experience working with loss and grief, family issues, depression, and anxiety. I have supported family caregivers, adolescents and their parents or guardians, as well as individuals affected by illness in medical settings. My expertise is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which I use to understand my clients' thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. I strive to create a warm and inviting atmosphere as we work together to address the challenges that brought you here. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Howard University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland. My best qualities are professionalism, friendliness, and compassion. I am eager to help you find solutions and ensure you leave each session feeling better than when you arrived.

I feel that she was a poor listener, that she misunderstood or just didn't respond to most things I said, even when I emphasized a couple times that they were important topics to cover for me. She didn't ask for clarification, which made me think that she didn't realize that she had misunderstood. This might be unfair, but she was three minutes late to virtual session, and ended it about three minutes early. I get the feeling she may have ended earlier if I hadn't kept asking questions. Additionally I spent a lot of time carefully filling out the online forms asking why I was seeking therapy when I signed up for this session and it was very clear that she hadn't reviewed it. The only thing that she said that was even remotely useful was that I could ask a doctor to refer me to another psychologist to get evaluated for ADD, something which I said in our session and outlined why I was hesitant (cost). Not horrible, but I found her less helpful than say speaking to a friendly stranger
