About Dr. Neda Svrakic
Dr. Svrakic is a physician at Innovative Primary Care on Ashland Avenue, where she provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for adults. She earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine & Health Sciences in St. Kitts and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at The Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, IL.

The appointment itself was fine—the doctor was nice, and the PA was lovely. However, most of the office staff was female and the entire atmosphere felt unwelcoming, cold, and unfriendly. Nothing explicitly rude, but the kind of atmosphere where you feel watched with "unkind eyes."
Personally, when I go to the doctor's office, it is on a day I don't dress up. I was def frumpy b/c I was taking public transit.
Regardless, I barely received a good morning, no friendly glance from the receptionist. Just checked in. "Maybe they have a lot to handle," I get it. But then I overheard staff speculating judgmentally about a patient's financial situation with a mocking tone, then switch to a sweet tone when calling that patient. It made me incredibly uneasy—"if they talk like this about others, what do they say about me?" For a place you go when you're not feeling well, that matters.
If you have thick skin, feel free to look past it—but if you'd rather be met with warmth, I'd look elsewhere.

Honestly, I went with this Doctor because of the positive reviews. The experience was disappointing. After the doctor asked the usual medical history questions, I asked “Is this a good time to ask my questions (in regards to my health concerns)” and she said that there wasn’t time for me to ask questions. It was really disappointing, especially because coming to the doctor is not cheap, and I am no closer to getting any answers. This practice came across as very bottom line focused. Maybe it was an off day, it happens, but it was frustrating as a patient. I will say the nurse who took my vitals was very nice.

I usually dread going to doctor’s appointments, but Dr. Neda completely changed my mind. She was incredibly polite, patient, and genuinely attentive. She took the time to explain everything related to my concerns in a way that made me feel heard and understood. She’s a wonderful listener and has such a pleasant, comforting presence. She also referred me to other specialists who took great care of me as well. I would absolutely give her a 10/10 and highly recommend booking with Dr. Neda!

I thought I was going for an annual physical, but they just took blood pressure and performed bloodwork (which I told them had done a couple of months ago---unsurprisingly, the results were almost identical.). Offered vaccines and referrals. Baffling that I had to go through so many questions to get to maybe five minutes of conversation. I didn't see the point.

The office did not inform me that I needed to fast ahead of my appointment, friend who happened to use the safe office mentioned by chance that they had a physical at the same office and didn't find out until they arrived that they were supposed to fast. This was just an hour before my appointment, so I reached out to the office to ask if I was meant to fast. They were unhelpful and unapologetic for the lack of advance warning, and said I would have to attend the appointment and come back for blood work at a later date. I asked if there was any chance that I could reschedule since I live over 30 minutes away and it's difficult to schedule doctors appointments around my work schedule, but I received no response. I drove 45 minutes to the appointment only to be told when I arrived that the appointment had been automatically cancelled by the system. I didn't receive any notification or any sort that my appointment had been cancelled.
