About Dr. Syed Mazhar
Dr. Syed Mazhar, is a Primary Care doctor and is the founder of Dobra Primary Care & Family Medicine facility, was born in Ukraine and raised in several countries, including Ukraine, Libya, and Pakistan. This global upbringing shaped his compassionate, culturally sensitive approach to medicine. He earned his medical degree from Shifa College of Medicine in Islamabad, Pakistan, and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Detroit Medical Center – Michigan State University, Sinai-Grace Hospital. He is board-certified in Family Medicine.
Dr. Mazhar has a strong clinical focus in chronic disease management, including hypertension, diabetes, congestive heart failure, chronic kidney disease, asthma, COPD, and obesity. He also offers care for dermatologic conditions and performs joint injections. He believes in developing meaningful, long-term relationships with his patients, listening carefully to their needs, and helping them achieve better health—not just by treating the disease, but by providing complete support.
In addition to English, Dr. Mazhar speaks Urdu, Russian, and Ukrainian, allowing him to connect more deeply with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Mazhar is a devoted husband and father. He enjoys martial arts training, supporting his favorite football club, traveling, and spending time with his family.
