Getting to know Carolynn Hanzal

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker in the state of MN. I have worked in the field for almost a decade. My specialty is with neurodivergence. I am able to diagnose autism and ADHD through assessments and clinical interviews. I also provide therapy and coaching for ADHD and Autism. I provide support to clients who feel stuck, burnout, are adjusting to a new job or other life circumstances. I encourage clients to come as they are, masked or unmasked.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I will take the time to get to know you, what has brought you to therapy or coaching and what your goals are. We will work together to come up with goals that are achievable and won't set you up for failure. I am a out of the bost therapist. What works for one person may not work for another. In my practice I use CBT, ACT, DBT and mindfulness.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I will complete an intake to help get to you know, your background, if yiu have been in therapy before and what you are hoping to get from therapy or coaching. When I meet with someone for sessions I will do a brief check in and then move into education about symptoms or a skill based tool to help. I will assign homework if that is desired and agreed upon. I will usually provide something to do between sessions to build skills. I am open to feedback and will include this into our visits if there is something I can improve on or something you liked.
