What should a new client know about working with you?

** Initial appointments are free consultation phone calls with our intake coordinator. On that call, you’ll be able to go over insurance details and get answers to any questions you have. If it feels like a great fit, the intake coordinator will get you scheduled for your first therapy appointment while you’re on the call. ** When working with you, I place strong emphasis on careful assessment and diagnosis as part of understanding the full picture of what may be contributing to some of your challenges. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I take time to explore patterns, relationships, life experiences, and environmental stressors. This approach helps ensure that treatment feels intentional, accurate, and tailored to your needs. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and narrative-informed work to support a wide array of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related challenges, and difficulties related to life transitions. Therapy with me is collaborative and transparent, and I valued open dialogue around goals, progress, and the direction of your treatment. Throughout our work together, my goal is to help you build insight, develop coping strategies, and feel supported as you work toward meaningful and sustainable change. I aim to balance compassion with clarity, offering guidance while respecting your autonomy and readiness for growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

** Initial appointments are free consultation phone calls with our intake coordinator. On that call, you’ll be able to go over insurance details and get answers to any questions you have. If it feels like a great fit, the intake coordinator will get you scheduled for your first therapy appointment while you’re on the call. ** Therapy typically begins with an initial session focused on gaining a clear understanding of what brings you to treatment. During this first meeting, we explore your current concerns, relevant background, and what you hope to work toward in therapy. This session is also an opportunity to ask questions, discuss expectations, and ensure that the therapeutic space feels comfortable and supportive. Following the initial session, therapy becomes a collaborative process of developing insight, identifying patterns, and working towards your goals. Sessions may involve reflection, skill-building, and exploring new ways of relating thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I provide LGBTQ-affirming care that recognizes the impact of culture, identity, safety, and belonging, while also honoring the uniqueness of your experience. The pace and focus of therapy are guided by your needs, and interventions are adapted as your goals evolve. Throughout our work together, progress is revisited regularly, and treatment is adjusted as needed to remain aligned with what feels most beneficial for you. I have an emphasis on creating steady, sustainable change over time. My goal is to ensure that your therapeutic experience feels affirming, grounded, and centered on your well-being.

Harley has been an incredibly supportive presence in my life, especially during some of my toughest times. He always keeps it real while still creating a space where I feel understood and encouraged. He challenges me to push myself, take accountability, and do more for my own growth, which has made a huge difference in how I show up for myself. My life has changed for the better when I met him.
I wasn’t really sure about going to therapy and Harley made me feel like I was seen, understood and respected. I have a lot of marginalized identities that people don’t always get and Harley made me feel safe.
My visit with Harley was an awesome experience. He is great therapist to have he is great at listening your problems and give great advice. He is great person to talk to. So my opinion is picked him as your therapist.

Harley is one of those people who knows immediately how to make you feel comfortable and safe. I was able to talk to him and feel heard and not judged. He helped me see some of the things in myself I struggled to see. I will definitely keep coming back for kindness and true insight. I believe Harley would be a wonderful choice for anyone as he is such an open and knowledgeable person!
