I am a firm believer that the tools we use in therapy are not just clinical exercises, but are essential practices for living a grounded life. I advocate for self-care and mindfulness, because I have seen their power to create calm in the midst of chaos. My approach is rooted in the belief that when we understand the triad of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we reclaim our power.
My first priority as a therapist is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be your most honest self, completely free of any and all judgment.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Prior to joining We Rise, I was a clinical mental health intern working at the Queens Long Island Community Services (QLIC). Within my time working at this practice I was fortunate enough to work with clients from several diverse and multicultural backgrounds as well as different age ranges. During my time working at QLICSI had the opportunity to see clients in various types of therapy settings including but not limited to psycho therapy, group therapy, couples therapy, and child therapy. My background prior to working in the mental health field was working directly in a medical setting with patients. My background in the medical field has allowed me to have a unique "whole person" perspective to seeing clients while being able to see the mind-body connection correlated with therapy as well as navigating crisis management.

Grief is a deeply personal and often isolating experience, but it is one you do not have to navigate alone. I am passionate about supporting those dealing with loss because I recognize the profound weight it places on the soul. The therapist was very patient. He was willing to adjust my appointment to give me enough time to set up my Telehealth. He was very thoughtful and was well prepared for the session. What stood out was the fact he already had a game plan in place prior to the visit.

Mr.Davenport was incredibly professonal, timely, assuring. But most of all understanding and helpful, you can tell his counselling coming from a solid foundation of knowledge and experience. Combined with being both punctual and making as much time as needed for our sessions I couldnt recommend anyone better and will absolutely be booking mre often when needed
