Dr. Randi Torstenson, PsyD

Psychotherapist
1133 Broadway, New York, NY
Thank you for choosing to review my practice profile. I am a seasoned clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience treating a variety of mental health concerns. I hold a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School and a Certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from The Psychoanalytic Association of New York. I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns/marital distress, and depression. I have extensive training to address the specific concerns of women, LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, creative and artistic individuals, and clients from a multitude of different racial, ethnic, and spiritual backgrounds. I am licensed to practice psychotherapy in person and via teletherapy in CT and NY, and teletherapy for all other PSYPACT participating states. Research tells us the best predictor of therapeutic success is the quality of the therapeutic relationship and the connection the client feels to the therapist. It is for this reason that clients and I establish safety, trust, and collaboration from the moment we begin working together. It is an absolute honor to witness the growth and development of clients and to help empower them to become the healthiest version of themselves.
